Following a recent proposal submitted to SNG, a team from Customer Engagement and Localities visited Princess Gardens in Wantage to ask everyone about future possibilities for the green space.
After door-knocking and speaking to some residents who were home, we then leaflet dropped everyone to ask for feedback by post or email.
The results of the full consultation are on this page and show that a third of the residents gave their feedback with 10% in favour and 13% against any changes to the green space at all.
Therefore, there will be no further exploration of possible play facilities on the green space at Princess Gardens.
However, whilst on site carrying out the event, we took the opportunity to follow up on resident's concerns that the bushes were restricting the views of drivers. This created possible safety concerns with children on the green space and pavement close to the bushes.
We instructed our grounds maintenance teams whilst on site to trim back the bushes as per the photograph on this page.
