Grants - how we support our communities

We’ve launched a new Digital Inclusion Fund to help SNG customers and communities gain the digital skills, confidence and access they may need to fully benefit from online opportunities and services. Grants of between £300 and £1,000 are available for local groups supporting SNG customers to get online and learn and develop their digital skills. 

The fund aims to support projects that improve digital access, skills, and connectivity - through group sessions or one-to-one support - helping people get online and stay connected in our SNG communities. It is part of our wider mission of ensuring more customers can benefit from the opportunities technology provides, helping them gain digital skills, confidently use online services, and make the most of tools that make life easier

Do you know a community group in your local area that you think would benefit from one of our Digital Inclusion grants? As this years Winter Wishes Fund is now live we wanted to share a little video update from one of the projects we funded last year.

This update came in from Emersons Green Town Council who used their grant to provide presents to children & young people living in our SNG community who may not have had any other gifts over the Christmas Period.

Our Winter Wishes Fund provides grants of up to £1,000 to help support our communities over the festive period and beyond.

For many, Christmas is a time of joy and celebration. But for some, it can bring financial strain, loneliness, emotional challenges, and feelings of social isolation.

Our Winter Wishes Fund supports not-for-profit groups and organisations to deliver projects that help our communities and customers during and beyond the festive season. Grants of £300 to £1,000 are awarded to initiatives and projects that actively bring SNG customers and communities together and support those experiencing vulnerability or hardship. The fund is open for applications until the 19th October 2026.

We welcome creative and community-led ideas that not only address immediate needs during the festive period, but also build skills, confidence, connections and resilience beyond winter. Projects that create ongoing opportunities for SNG customers to come together, support one another and strengthen their communities, are particularly encouraged.
