☀️ Heatwave Alert: Stay Safe in the Sun! ☀️

With a heatwave on the way, it's more important than ever to look after yourself and others in the sun. Here are some simple but essential tips to stay safe:
🌡️ Stay Hydrated – Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you’re not feeling thirsty. Avoid too much caffeine or alcohol.
🧴 Use Sun Protection – Apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 regularly, and don’t forget ears, neck, and the tops of your feet!
😎 Cover Up – Wear light, loose clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.
🏡 Keep Cool Indoors – Close curtains in sun-facing rooms, use fans, and stay in the shade as much as possible, especially between 11am and 3pm.
🚶♀️ Avoid Strenuous Activity in Peak Heat – If you need to exercise or work outdoors, try to do it early in the morning or later in the evening when it’s cooler.
Check on Others – Keep an eye on neighbours and friends. If you or someone else feels dizzy, confused, has a headache, or is very hot and sweating heavily – move to a cool place, drink water, and seek help if needed. 🌡️
