Chris StoryTeam Leader - Foyer
Hi, I’m Chris, one of the Team Leaders at the Foyer and my job is to support the team and ensure the Foyer is running smoothly.
One of my main tasks is making sure that when customers are referred to us, you move in as quickly and as smoothly as possible.
I’ve worked in Housing and Support Work for 13 years and couldn’t imagine not having a job where I work with people every day. I enjoy taking my dog, Louie, on walks on the beach when I’m not at work.

Danny WilsonSupport Worker
Hi, I'm Danny.
I started out as night security at the Foyer, I really liked what the foyer stood for and supporting young people, which led to me applying and becoming one of the support workers here.
My role is to provide housing support to residents at the foyer, supporting residents from the day they move in, up until they successfully move on from the foyer.
I have been in this role for over a year now and I enjoy expanding my knowledge on mental health, recently completing a mental health first aider course and currently studying mental health in children & young people.
Outside of work I spend a lot of my time in the gym.

Hi, I’m Sam,
I’m a support worker at The Foyer, my role is to provide our young people with housing related support, this includes helping grow knowledge around; managing a tenancy, life skills and independence, managing benefits and budgeting - just to name a few things.
I’m in my 3rd year working at The Foyer and finding it incredibly rewarding, I think my strengths are recognising and adapting different communication styles so that our young people feel heard.
When I’m not working, I enjoy playing and watching football or spending time with family – including my two cats Frida and Otis (One is hairless and one is extremely fluffy).

Vicky SaundersSupport Worker
Hi I’m Vicky S
I am a housing support worker based in the Foyer in Ryde.
I really love this job because it allows me to have some input in young people’s lives, share my knowledge or help to put them in touch with others who can. Life can be difficult for young people, especially in this quickly changing world where we are surrounded with information, it’s hard to find the right information that applies to us.
I enjoy researching information that can help in any way.
In my spare time, I’m a mum, DJ and ride a vintage Lambretta (that’s been tuned to go very fast – but of course I always abide by the highway code and consider others and my own safety, at all times).

I have worked at the Foyer for 9 years now - starting as Duty Desk, then I became a Support Worker and now my job role is Housing and Resettlement Co-Ordinator.
I support young people when they first move in to the Foyer with their sign up and benefit claims, and continue to support through the Move-On to independent living.
