Stigma? tell us what you think

Social housing stigma is the unfair judgment and stereotyping experienced by many people who live in social housing.

Recent research conducted by the nations ‘Stop Social Housing Stigma Campaign’ revealed that 70% of residents say they have felt judged because of their housing status. These perceptions are often shaped by negative media narratives, unequal treatment, and longstanding social inequalities, rather than the reality of the vibrant and diverse communities that social housing residents call home.

At SNG we take this seriously and are continuing our efforts to find out how you feel about topics such as this. We’d love to hear your views and experiences aligned with the issues, so we can better work towards erasing this stigma in all aspects of what we do.

If you’d like to work alongside us to ensure we get this right, please complete these questions. The feedback we receive from this survey will be analysed and implemented into our new strategy to ensure we’re not perpetuating the cycle of stigma within social housing.
