Wednesday night was all about sweet treats and teamwork as we baked our very own jam or lemon cookies! We had a few hiccups along the way (because let’s be real, what’s baking without a little chaos?), but we powered through and made it work.

From sticky jam mishaps to dough that didn’t want to behave, we didn’t give upβ€”and the results were so worth it. Every cookie came out looking delicious and full of homemade charm.

Big well done to everyone who got stuck in and helped, proof that even when things don’t go to plan, teamwork (and a bit of laughter) makes it all come together perfectly!

On Wednesday we celebrated an incredible milestone β€” 25 years since Nikki started working at the Foyer, right from the very beginning!

Since day one, Nikki has been more than just a colleague β€” she’s been a constant source of support, kindness, and reliability. Her dedication to the team, the residents, and the Foyer itself is something truly special.

If she’s not busy chatting with a resident, offering her usual words of wisdom, you can bet she’s in her famous β€œoffice” (aka the shed), rummaging away and somehow always finding exactly what’s needed!

Nikki, thank you for being such a fantastic part of this place for so many years. We appreciate you more than words can say β€” here’s to you and everything you’ve done (and continue to do) for all of us!

Yesterday's cooking session was a huge success β€” and we’re still talking about that cheese sauce!

For many of our group, it was their first time making mac and cheese from scratch, and they absolutely nailed it. No lumps, no stress β€” just smooth, cheesy perfection.

It was fantastic to see everyone get stuck in, learn something new, and leave with a delicious dish (and a boost of kitchen confidence).

Big thanks to everyone who took part β€” we can’t wait for the next one!
