No dates in sightโ€ฆ we put our own twist on it and went full treacle mode instead, and wow ๐Ÿ‘ it did not disappoint. Rich, warm, sticky, and just the right amount of indulgent.

    ๐Ÿ’š Mental Health Tips

    supporting image

Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that your wellbeing matters โ€” no matter where you are or what you're going through.

If youโ€™re struggling with anxiety, sadness, anger, or stress, here are a few ways to look after your mental health, even in hard times:

๐Ÿง  1. Ground Yourself When You Feel Overwhelmed

    Try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique:
๐Ÿ”น 5 things you can see
๐Ÿ”น 4 things you can touch
๐Ÿ”น 3 things you can hear
๐Ÿ”น 2 things you can smell
๐Ÿ”น 1 thing you can taste or are grateful for

    ๐Ÿ—ฃ 2. Talk It Out

Speak to someone you trust โ€” a support worker, friend, or helpline. You donโ€™t have to go through it alone. Talking helps ease pressure.

๐Ÿ’ค 3. Rest When You Can

Even short naps, sitting down, or just closing your eyes can give your brain a break.

โœ๏ธ 4. Write or Draw Your Thoughts

No journal? Use scrap paper, your phone, or your mind. Getting your feelings out helps stop them from building up.

๐ŸŽง 5. Music or Podcasts Can Help

Use headphones or a quiet space to calm your mind. Look for playlists that help you relax, laugh, or feel understood.

    ๐Ÿค 6. Ask for Help โ€” Itโ€™s a Strength

There are people and services who want to help you โ€” You are not a burden. You deserve support.

    ๐Ÿ“ฑ
Shout (24/7 free text support) โ€“ Text โ€˜SHOUTโ€™ to 85258
    The Mix (under 25s) โ€“ Call 0808 808 4994 or chat online

NHS - 111 access 24/7 for full package of mental health crisis support through one single phone line.

Be kind to your mind. Youโ€™ve survived so much already โ€” and there is hope ahead. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒฟ May is Mental Health Awareness Month ๐ŸŒฟ

    supporting image

This month is a powerful reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. Whether youโ€™re managing your own mental wellbeing or supporting someone else, you are not alone.

Mental health services should be accessible to everyone, no matter where you live or what you're going through. Support can look like:

    • A safe person to talk to

    • Access to mental health professionals

    • A warm space where you feel seen and heard

    • A chance to build trust and stability

Letโ€™s break the stigma by starting conversations, showing empathy, and sharing resources. Mental health struggles are real โ€” and recovery, healing, and hope are possible.

Itโ€™s okay to feel overwhelmed. Itโ€™s okay to not have everything figured out.
What matters is knowing youโ€™re not alone and that support is out there. ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ’ฌ Talk about it โ€” with friends, a mentor, or a professional
๐Ÿง  Take breaks from social media and pressure to โ€œkeep upโ€
๐ŸŽฏ Prioritise what feels good for your mental and emotional wellbeing
๐Ÿง  Take a break for your mind
๐Ÿ’š Be kind โ€” especially to yourself

Itโ€™s okay to ask for help. Itโ€™s okay to need rest. Itโ€™s okay not to be okay.

Together, letโ€™s raise awareness, offer support, and advocate for better mental health for all.
