Mental Health Awareness Month is a reminder that your wellbeing matters — no matter where you are or what you're going through.
If you’re struggling with anxiety, sadness, anger, or stress, here are a few ways to look after your mental health, even in hard times:
🧠 1. Ground Yourself When You Feel Overwhelmed
Try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique:
🔹 5 things you can see
🔹 4 things you can touch
🔹 3 things you can hear
🔹 2 things you can smell
🔹 1 thing you can taste or are grateful for🗣 2. Talk It Out
Speak to someone you trust — a support worker, friend, or helpline. You don’t have to go through it alone. Talking helps ease pressure.
💤 3. Rest When You Can
Even short naps, sitting down, or just closing your eyes can give your brain a break.
✍️ 4. Write or Draw Your Thoughts
No journal? Use scrap paper, your phone, or your mind. Getting your feelings out helps stop them from building up.
🎧 5. Music or Podcasts Can Help
Use headphones or a quiet space to calm your mind. Look for playlists that help you relax, laugh, or feel understood.
🤝 6. Ask for Help — It’s a Strength
There are people and services who want to help you — You are not a burden. You deserve support.
📱
Shout (24/7 free text support) – Text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258
The Mix (under 25s) – Call 0808 808 4994 or chat onlineNHS - 111 access 24/7 for full package of mental health crisis support through one single phone line.
Be kind to your mind. You’ve survived so much already — and there is hope ahead. 💚

This month is a powerful reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. Whether you’re managing your own mental wellbeing or supporting someone else, you are not alone.
Mental health services should be accessible to everyone, no matter where you live or what you're going through. Support can look like:
A safe person to talk to
Access to mental health professionals
A warm space where you feel seen and heard
A chance to build trust and stability
Let’s break the stigma by starting conversations, showing empathy, and sharing resources. Mental health struggles are real — and recovery, healing, and hope are possible.
It’s okay to feel overwhelmed. It’s okay to not have everything figured out.
What matters is knowing you’re not alone and that support is out there. 💚💬 Talk about it — with friends, a mentor, or a professional
🧠 Take breaks from social media and pressure to “keep up”
🎯 Prioritise what feels good for your mental and emotional wellbeing
🧠 Take a break for your mind
💚 Be kind — especially to yourselfIt’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to need rest. It’s okay not to be okay.
Together, let’s raise awareness, offer support, and advocate for better mental health for all.

Did you know what you eat doesn’t just affect your body—it impacts your mind too? 💭✨
Healthy eating isn’t about restriction, it’s about nourishment. When you fill your plate with whole foods—like vibrant veggies, lean proteins, healthy fats, and slow-burning carbs—you’re not just supporting weight loss or fitness goals. You’re giving your brain the nutrients it needs to feel focused, balanced, and energised. 🧠💪
🍓 More fruit and veg = better digestion + glowing skin
🥑 Healthy fats = hormone balance + stable mood
🥗 Balanced meals = steady energy + fewer cravingsSmall swaps can make a BIG difference. Your body will thank you—and so will your mood. ❤️
Let’s eat to feel good, inside and out.

🐉 Happy St George’s Day! 🐉

Today we’re celebrating England’s patron saint, St George — a symbol of courage and honour. Known for the legendary tale of slaying a dragon, St George’s story has inspired generations with its message of bravery and standing up for what's right.
St George's Day has been marked in England since the 13th century, and while it’s rooted in history, it’s also a great opportunity to celebrate English culture, tradition, and community spirit.
Did you know.....
🛡️ St George wasn’t English – He was actually born in what is now modern-day Turkey, and he never visited England!
🐉 The dragon legend came later – The famous story of St George slaying a dragon was added centuries after his death. It’s a symbol of good triumphing over evil.
🏴 St George is not just England’s patron saint – He’s also the patron saint of several other places, including Georgia, Catalonia (Spain), Portugal, and Ethiopia.
📅 St George’s Day used to be a big deal – It was once as widely celebrated in England as St Patrick’s Day is in Ireland. It even used to be a national holiday!
🌹 The red rose is the symbol of the day – It’s traditional to wear a red rose on your lapel on St George’s Day, inspired by Shakespeare’s reference to it in Henry VI.
